Railway lantern French antique metal red utility lamp in overall good vintage condition. Unusual piece most likely salvaged from a railway station and appears to have a use as a railway lamp - the colour filter is red.
Everything appears to be in- tach with no major signs of damage. The front section rotates and the back, butterfly shaped, handle closes flat against what appears to be a back flap which opens. There are a series of ventilation holes at the base. There is also a large circular opening on the top. Please see photos provided - this is the item you will receive.
Item is sold as found - the metal is moderately to heavily distressed although no signs of rust or areas where the metal has worn thin. There is a slight rattle sound when you shake it - source of which is unknown. Lovely decorative piece and collectible item.

* between 2-4 weeks to receive your item outside of Europe
If you prefer/require priority post or additional contents insurance to cover the value of your item - please notify us in advance - this can be arranged for you at the additional cost price and added to your order before checkout/payment.

BoulotDodo makes every effort to carefully package your item - in the unlikely event that your item arrives in damaged packaging or if you are unhappy with the condition in which you receive your parcel - please DO NOT OPEN IT. Either obtain a declaration/proof from the delivery person or take it, unopened, to your local post office. This will facilitate a claim - especially if you have taken out additional insurance. We also ask that take a photo of the package and contents and email these to us in the event that you wish to be refunded.
We recommend additional insurance for items over a certain value or vintage one-offs which cannot be easily replaced.

We make every effort to help you understand the condition of the item at the time of purchase. Vintage items will often have natural wear and tear - the patina of the object's ageing adds real beauty and means each item is original in its own way. Some of our architectural salvage items may require some finishing work or restoration.
We communicate marks, blemishes, defects through both the item description and in photos (which are part of the description). We also indicate whether the item is in 'good' / 'very good' or 'excellent' vintage condition and we are happy to provide additional photographs or information - please don't hesitate to convo us your questions.
In the event an item purchased does not meet your expectations we will do everything reasonably possible to ensure your complaint is resolved. Your statutory rights regards returns are not affected.
We offer a full refund for returns on the cost of the item itself - our returns policy does not include a refund on the original shipping cost. If the shipping cost is included in the item price (indicated usually as free delivery) there is a nominal fee for handling the return. Please note you are responsible for the cost of returning your purchase. We aim to refund your money within a week of receiving the return once we've verified that the item is in the same condition in which it was sent.
